PUT students and graduates with the Marshal's Scholarship

The ceremonial gala of granting scholarships to outstanding pupils and students took place on December 6, 2022.

Seven students and graduates of the Poznan University of Technology received scholarships in the "Student" presented by Paulina Stochniałek by the Member of the Board of the Wielkopolska Region

First-degree scholarship:

1. Marcin Budka – Faculty of Control, Robotics and Electrical Engineering, the field of study: automation and robotics

Researchers of the Poznan University of Technology are winners of the awards of the Prime Minister

Jakub Zdarta and Stanisław Pabiszczak were awarded for scientific achievements and an outstanding doctoral dissertation. The team appointed by the Prime Minister decided that the scientific achievements of prof. Jakub Zdarta from the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Poznan University of Technology, which was the basis for granting him postdoctoral degree. His research focuses on the design of biocatalytic systems and their role in biomass conversion processes and the disposal of selected environmental pollutants.

Success of the RNApolis team in the international CASP-RNA competition

A team of researchers from the Institute of Computing Science (Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications) of Poznan University of Technology and the Department of Structural Bioinformatics at ICHB PAS, consisting of dr Maciej Antczak, dr Mariusz Popenda, dr Joanna Sarzynska, dr Tomasz Żok, and prof Marta Szachniuk, won the 3d place in CASP-RNA - the 3D RNA structure prediction competition.

THE EXHIBITION "POLISH-ESTONIAN RELATIONS 1918-1939 MEMORABILIA IN ESTONIAN ARCHIVES" OPENED AT THE WAWIZ BUILDING

The exhibition was prepared in 2018 as part of the celebration of the hundredth year of Poland regaining independence and the centenary of Estonia's independence. Two years later, the exhibition was supplemented with two charts dedicated to celebrating the centenary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Estonia.

As its creators wrote: "(...) we believe that reading valuable archival documents and photographs from the interwar period will allow the viewer to see the roots and perspectives of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in full light."

RESEARCHERS FROM THE PUT AMONG THE WORLD'S MOST CITED SCIENTISTS

36 researchers of the Poznan University of Technology have made it to the world's most influential scientists list.

Thus, we recorded a 10% increase in the ranking prepared by Stanford University in cooperation with the Elsevier publishing house and SciTech Strategies, which is published in the PLOS Biology magazine. The list includes more than 100 000 scientists, who were evaluated in criteria such as the Hirsch index, number of independent citations, and place and role of the author among co-authors.
