We are pleased to inform the academic community that on Friday, April 22, a meeting with the authorities of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg took place, during which prof. Paweł Śniatała, Vice-Rector for International Relations and prof. Alina Dudkowiak, Director of the Doctoral School at the PUT participated.
The subject of the second meeting of the representatives of the Poznan University of Technology with the Rector of the BTU, prof. Gesine Grande and Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer prof. Michael Hübner was the strategic, further development of long-term cooperation, in particular the joint, structured education of doctoral students. Issues related to the implementation of common research topics within selected scientific disciplines, the possibility of awarding doctoral scholarships and diploma procedures, as well as organizational issues were also discussed.
The cooperation between BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and the Poznan University of Technology has been carried out for 30 years and has been intensified in recent years thanks to a joint project of the European University EUNICE.
At the beginning of April, a delegation from BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg led by the Rector, prof. Gesine Grande came to Poznan to discuss current issues with the authorities of the Poznan University of Technology, represented by the Rector, prof. Teofil Jesionowski, Vice-Rector for International Relations, prof. Paweł Śniatała, and the Director of the Doctoral School of the PUT, prof. Alina Dudkowiak.
The topics discussed mainly concerned the possibilities of cooperation in the field of joint education of doctoral students and activities for the further implementation of the EUNICE project. Other joint research activities of both universities include EU projects: SMART4All, (a comprehensive network of digital innovation centres promoting the development of technology and business in Southern, Eastern, and Central Europe), REUNICE (science with society and for society at EUNICE), and the ERASMUS + CYBERFIT project, a program designed to train students and researchers in Cybersecurity and prepare them for the challenges of ICT in research and studies in terms of internationalization.
Both universities value many years of fruitful cooperation and emphasize the importance of this partnership.
