NAWA DOCTORAL WORKSHOPS

30 doctoral students and academics from universities in Sydney (Australia), Berlin (Germany), Turku (Finland) and Alcala (Spain) participated in the second edition of the NAWA-PROM project "PUT - UTS cooperation and accelerating the publication capacity of doctoral students". The workshops at the Poznan University of Technology will last until the 16th of September 2022.

MEETING OF THE RECTOR WITH THE EUROPEAN VICE-CHAMPION, A STUDENT OF THE PUT

Prof Teofil Jesionowski congratulated Mateusz Siuda, a Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering student, on his bronze medal in the European Championships in the 4x100 metres relay.

The Rector emphasised that "the passions of students will be supported wholeheartedly". The Poznan University of Technology medallist admitted in a conversation with the rector that the university allows one to realise dreams and by choosing to study, one does not have to give up plans. Mateusz plans to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.

POZNAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY SUPPORTS UKRAINE

Children from Ukraine participating in the day camps took part in a physics show prepared by the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Technical Physics.

Everything was possible thanks to, funds raised during the “Polibuda Open Air” Music Festival. From the collected funds, the One University Foundation organized day camps for children from Ukraine who came to Poland after February 24, 2022.

More than 200 children take part in them, including those hosted by employees of the Poznan University of Technoloagy.

EUNICE COURSE FOR STUDENTS OF FACULTY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

As part of the cooperation between the Eunice University and the Institute of Applied Mechanics of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Poznan University of Technology with the Department of Mechanics and Machine Dynamics at BTU Cottbus Senftenberg, a special course on SELECTED ISSUES OF APPLIED MECHANICS WITH SIMULATION IN ANSYS MECHANICAL SOFTWARE was held on 28-30 June 2022.

The exhibition of photos from Chernihiv, destroyed by the Russians, entitled "Ukraine Chernihiv - 40 days of blockade and bombing" was opened in the building of the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Engineering Management of the Poznan University of Technology. The vast majority of the photos were taken by Nina Ponomarenko, a representative of the Chernihiv region authorities. The title of the message comes from her letter written on March 3, 2022.
