"This world-renowned scientist, a specialist in the field of cybernetics, including systems analysis and decision theory (...) belongs to the group of outstanding scientists who created research school" – said prof. Teofil Jesionowski, the rector of the Poznan University of Technology. The rector added that our university is honoured by the fact that it can use the knowledge and experience of the laureate, who has been working closely with the Poznan University of Technology for many years.
The grand opening of Kakolewo Campus was accompanied by a presentation of research works that will be carried out there soon. “This is the campus of the future, it is a place where we will research and I hope to implement modern aviation and space technologies, but not only. The scope of projects managed by our employees is extraordinary ”- emphasized prof. Teofil Jesionowski, the rector of the Poznan University of Technology.
The Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, confirmed the grant for 6 million PLN during his visit to Poznan. “I confirm and I sincerely congratulate the Rector”.
The establishment of the Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Centre was the subject of numerous meetings. Rector of the Poznan University of Technology, prof. Teofil Jesionowski has repeatedly argued that the aim of the centre will be to develop the potential of the Polish academic community and other public institutions in the field of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

30 doctoral students and academics from universities in Sydney (Australia), Berlin (Germany), Turku (Finland) and Alcala (Spain) participated in the second edition of the NAWA-PROM project "PUT - UTS cooperation and accelerating the publication capacity of doctoral students". The workshops at the Poznan University of Technology will last until the 16th of September 2022.
Prof Teofil Jesionowski congratulated Mateusz Siuda, a Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering student, on his bronze medal in the European Championships in the 4x100 metres relay.
The Rector emphasised that "the passions of students will be supported wholeheartedly". The Poznan University of Technology medallist admitted in a conversation with the rector that the university allows one to realise dreams and by choosing to study, one does not have to give up plans. Mateusz plans to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
