RESEARCHERS OF THE PUT VISITED KARAGANDA

Karaganda State Technical University is a partner university of the Poznan University of Technology. Cooperation between universities is very fruitful and has been going on for several years.

From the 2019/20 academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan included the Poznan University of Technology, as the only university in Poland, in the "Visiting Professor" project. The initiative aroused great interest among scientists from the Poznan University of Technology.

THE POZNAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY IS AMONG 15% OF THE BEST POLISH UNIVERSITIES ACCORDING TO THE BGU RANKING

Our university was assessed in four categories:

 #chemistry, #computer science, #engineering, #materials science.

The Best Global Universities ranking has been published by the American news magazine U.S. News & World Report since 2014.

In this year's edition, 1. 700 universities from all over the world were assessed.

The universities were evaluated based on research results and the evaluation of members of the academic community.

CONGRESS OF THE FORUM OF TECHNICAL UNIVERSITIES

Last weekend, a Congress of the Forum of Technical Universities was held, at the Poznan University of Technology. The event was organized by the PUT Students' Union.

During the event, representatives of students from all Polish technical universities participated in training sessions and debated in the working sessions of the Forum of Technical Universities. In addition, the Students Gala was held, where the awards for student governments and KoKoN Science Clubs Competition awards were presented.

THREE OF OUR STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS OF POZNAN CITY

The scholarships of the City of Poznan were awarded for the fourteenth time. They are awarded to laureates and finalists of subject Olympiads who undertook studies at Poznan universities. Among twenty-eight persons awarded this year, three of them started their studies at the Poznan University of Technology. 

Franciszek Rydzak, a student of Aviation and astronautics at the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering, was a finalist of the Geography Olympiad. He graduated from Adam Mickiewicz Secondary School No. 7 in Poznan. 

Prof. Agnieszka Merkisz-Guranowska became a member of the Central Council of Science and Higher Education for the term 2022-2025

The selection was made by the rectors during the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland Plenary Assembly in Gdynia.

Prof. Agnieszka Merkisz-Guranowska has been the director of the Institute of Transport at the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering of the Poznan University of Technology since January 1, 2020.

Maciej Szafrański was awarded Bagde of Honour

The employee of the Faculty of Engineering Management was awarded Bagde of Honour for contributing to the Wielkopolska Region

On October 20, 2021, the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region organized the National Education Day celebration.

The award was handed by Marshal of Wielkopolska Region, Marek Woźniak, in the form of the Badge of Honour for contribution to Wielkopolska Region, to Maciej Szafrański, PhD – academic of the Faculty of Engineering Management at the Poznan University of Technology.

Doctoral School of the PUT after inauguration ceremony

On October 15, 2021 the Rector of the Poznan University of Technology prof. dr hab. inż. Teofil Jesionowski inaugurated the new academic year 2021/2022 at the Doctoral School of the Poznan University of Technology. At the ceremony all those present were also representatives of Doctoral School and the Doctoral Student Council – mgr inż. Aleksandra Pawlak and mgr inż. Alireza Tabrizikahou.
