The beginning of April brought an important event for the project of the EUNICE European University. In Santander, on April 7, more than 20 representatives of EUNICE universities teamed up to work together on the strategy of a global online course - the so-called MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) - called "Introduction to Global Studies". The course aims to increase students' knowledge of global issues from an interdisciplinary perspective.

On March 22-24, 2022, students and lecturers from the University of Mons (UMONS) visited the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications.

Prof. Teofil Jesionowski, rector of the Poznan University of Technology, prof. Tomasz Łodygowski, former rector of the Poznan University of Technology and prof. Michał Kulka were elected as members of the Academy of Engineering in Poland. The Engineering Academy in Poland celebrates its 30th anniversary. On this occasion, a Jubilee Gala was held in Krakow. It was during this ceremony that successive representatives of the world of science from Poznan became its ordinary members.

Doctoral theses recently defended at the PUT among those awarded by the mayor of the city.

Agata Zdarta, Adam Kubiak and Tomasz Nowakowski were among the winners of this year's edition of  "The Poznan City Award for an outstanding doctoral dissertation". 46 dissertations were submitted to the competition.

The dignity and insignia of the L'Ordre des Palmes Académiques were granted to professor Roman Słowiński, the academic of the Institute of Computer Science at the Poznan University of Technology, as well as the vice-president of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Prime Minister of the French Republic. The award ceremony was held at the Embassy of the French Republic in Warsaw. The decorations were made by the French ambassador to Poland, Frédéric Billet.

Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering - Colloquium of Applied Mechanics Materials, Design, and Biomedical Engineering was held in these areas, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Poznan University of Technology and BTU Cottbus Senftenberg. The event is a continuation of the intensive cooperation between German and Polish scientists.

We would like to invite the academic community to an auction of paintings created by students and academics of the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznan University of Technology. The auction will be held on Sunday, 10^th of April 2022 at 12.30 in the hall of the Lecture Center of the Poznan University of Technology. Payments for paintings will be only possible via bank transfer (detailed information on the transfer will be provided during the auction). Participation in the auction is free of charge and any adult person may participate.
