THE STUDENT CONFERENCE IN ZITTAU (from 28 May to 1 June 2018)


From 28 May to 01 June 2018, the representatives of Poznan University of Technology: Dominika Adamiak (FEM), Amad Sami Hasan (FEM) and Bohdan Titarenko (FMEM)) took part in an International Student Conference organized by Baltic University Programme held in Großschönau near Zittau in Germany. The theme of this year's conference was "Innovation for Sustainable Development: Resource and Energy Efficiency in Production and Transportation". The conference was attended by over 80 students from 13 different countries (Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Brazil, and Iraq).

CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research is an independent, non-profit research institute founded on the idea that research-based policy-making is vital for the economic welfare of societies. Established in Warsaw in 1991, CASE today is recognized as the top think tank in Central and Eastern Europe and is one of the most highly regarded think tanks internationally.


We are looking for an intern for a research project on China’s Belt and Road Initiative. CASE is going to prepare an analytical paper with recommendations for European stakeholders and find answers for the following questions...

Erasmus students have possibilities to study at the Faculty of Engineering Management on bachelor and master level:
CORPORATE MANAGEMENT (specialization in M.Sc. in Engineering Management)


All these courses are delivered in English.


The bachelor course delivers competences not only in management, economics and law but also in engineering disciplines as well.
Such competences enable the graduate professional acting in the meeting of the enterprise and the customer. The graduate is able
to associate the technological with economic and marketing problems in the context of global business. The graduate is also
prepared to analyze the market and play both the function of sale manager as well as the initiator of change in the enterprise’s
organization and management systems. He gains the entrepreneurial skills. To end the studies a student is obligated to write an
engineering dissertation in Industrial Management.
The master programme focuses mainly on widely understood Management, but the students from Corporate Management have a vast
knowledge on different functional areas of enterprise, i.e., strategic management, business planning, controlling and financial
management, marketing management, engineering management, logistics, production management, total productive maintenance, management
information systems, quality management and human resource management. The programme emphasises lecture, exercise and project-based
learning. Throughout the whole programme students will also get the opportunity to train their personal skills in the form of teamwork
in particular subjects.
Knowledge acquired during studies allows the graduates to apply for job where they can solve problems in the following areas:
restructuring of enterprises, problems of the economy transformation, globalization and entrepreneurship, information management
systems, management systems design, logistics systems, implementing new management concepts, network company, virtual enterprise,
methods of industrial product marketing, ergonomics and work environment engineering. The graduates also have wide knowledge
concerning new forms of business organizations as lean and agile enterprises. They very often get managerial positions in companies.
The graduates are also prepared to run their own business.
