XXIX International Seminar of Ergonomics


The 29th International Seminar of Ergonomics was held in Gniezno (Poland) from 20th to 22th June 2016. The Seminar is organized by:


  • Polish Ergonomics Society, Poznan Branch
  • Poznan University of Technology, Faculty of Engineering Management
  • Polish Academy of Sciences, Poznan Branch, Committee on Ergonomics


This conference is endorsed by the Federation of the European Ergonomics Societies and the International Ergonomics Association and presidents of this organizations were keynote speakers in Gniezno.

This successful conference included topics of ergonomics, occupational safety engineering and quality engineering. Such an approach shows an interdisciplinary character of contemporary issues in science which require simultaneous actions in diverse directions and creates a synergistic effect that will help to solve the undertaken issues, both theoretical and practical. Some data:


  • more than 150 participants (including 125 registered participants and group of about 30 students participating in sessions and workshops),
  • 11 nationalities - from Europe (Estonia, France, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia) and from other continents (India, Iran, Japan, South Africa, Sri Lanka),
  • 5 keynote speakers,
  • over 50 presentation,
  • 4 workshops,
  • a round table with between IEA (International Ergonomics Association), FEES (Federation of the European Ergonomics Societies) and Polish Ergonomics Society.


The Chair of Ergonomics and Quality Management of the Faculty of Engineering Management co-organized this year's 29th International Seminar of Ergonomics, held in Gniezno (Poland) from 20th to 22th June 2016.
